Fort Milford

Fort Milford is a small but historically significant fort located in Crown Point, Tobago. Originally built by the British in 1777, the fort was part of their coastal defense system during the colonial era. It was later abandoned and partially destroyed by the French in 1781, but remnants of the fort still stand today.

Fort Campbleton

Fort Campbleton is a small yet scenic historical site located near Charlotteville on Tobago’s northeastern coast. Originally built by the British in the 18th century, the fort was strategically placed to protect the harbor from enemy attacks. While not as well-preserved as Fort King George, the site still features remnants of old cannons and fortifications, offering a glimpse into Tobago’s colonial past.

Fort Granby

Fort Granby, situated on the eastern coast of Tobago near Studley Park, was once the main British defense post for this part of the island. Built in the 18th century, it guarded the coast from naval attacks but now exists mostly as a historic site with remnants of its past.

Fort Bennett

Located in Black Rock on the western coast of Tobago, Fort Bennett is a small but historically significant fort built by the Dutch in the 17th century and later controlled by the British.

Fort James

 

Fort James is a historic fort located on the island of Tobago in the Caribbean. It was built by the British in the early 18th century, specifically in 1777, during their colonial rule of the island. The fort was strategically positioned on a hill overlooking Great Courland Bay, providing a vantage point for surveillance and defense against potential attacks.
