It is not nursing programs alone giving problems is everything especially in the field od health sciences. We always have to go to Trinidad they are not bearing in mind that we have jobs and families. In order for us to achieve anything we must leave our sweet Tobago.
We are victimised when we do not study or make attempts to further our education but nothing is being done for us. At present I am pursuing a career in medical laboratory technologies and I have to leave Tobago during the week to attend classes, somtimes it is stressful to get the time off and the money is a problem I have not recieved any financing from the government after aplyinf for assisstance in 2007
Re: Nurses training shifts to PoS........COSTAAT fouls up
oh man, I'm not shocked!
For years we have been told a technical school would be built to help Tobagonians gain degrees in computer science, accounts and electrical / electronic egineering (like SandoTech and John Donaldson). I would be centuries before nurses get the training in Tobago.
If you want to educate yourself above a certain level you would HAVE to go Trinidad. So, I can't see how London 'hoping' would change anything.

I understand the issues you have, I had to leave to attend John D in POS. I had to stay with family in trinidad.
on signal hill, for a more easy access than the Fort George which you know was a high climb to the top of the hill.
